2019. évi Erasmus+ projekt összefoglaló

Intézményünk, a Dunakeszi Szent István Általános Iskola első alkalommal vesz részt Erasmus+ pályázaton. KA1 tanári mobilitási pályázatunk címe: A modern tudás iskolája, mely iskolánk mottójának része. 3 kollégával szeretnénk rész venni a következő külföldi tanári továbbképzéseken:

  • Empowerment in ICT Skills - Making Use of Technology Tools
  • English in the Primary Classroom
  • Educating for the 21st Century - re-imagining our schools for our children's future

A kurzusok programjai változatos eredményekre fókuszálnak, mint a módszertani megújulás, informatikai alkalmazások, kulturális ismeretek, országismeret, autentikus anyagok adaptálása, reáliák használata, kritikus gondolkodás, problémamegoldáson, projekteken alapuló együttműködés.

A projekt tervezett hatásai is sokrétűek. A kollégák nyelvtudása frissül, könnyebben meg tudnak felelni a modern nyelvoktatás kihívásainak, így elkerülheti a tanári kiégést. Reméljük, hogy projektünkhöz támogatást kapunk, következő lépésként a jövőben szeretnénk stratégiai partnerségi projektekhez csatlakozni, ezzel is előmozdítva a nemzetköziesítést, az európai dimenziók kiterjesztését. Ennek a célunknak a megvalósulása hosszú távon a fenntarthatóságot segíti elő.

Project Summary

Our institution, Dunakeszi Szent Isván Primary School participates in Erasmus+ for the first time. The title of our KA1 teachers' mobility project is: The school of modern knowledge, which is part of the motto of our school. Three colleagues would like to take part in the following teachers' training courses:

  • Empowerment in ICT Skills - Making Use of Technology Tools
  • English in the Primary Classroom
  • Educating for the 21st Century - re-imagining our schools for our children's future

As the main profile of our school is teaching foreign languages, mainly English, we submitted our application to go to English speaking countries and targeted language teachers' professional training first. Thorough preparation preceded the selection of the courses, the websites of eTwinning and School Education Gateway were a great help to us. The colleagues volunteered for the project, one colleague teaches English in the junior classes, one also in the junior section and in year 5 and one in the junior and senior primary school classes.

We determined the objectives of our project building on the main tasks of our institution (e.g. fostering more effective learning, improving communications skills, cultural and emotional education, talent management, testing the students' language knowledge, connecting to the Digital Week, Sustainability Project Week, Eco-planning) and the priorities of Erasmus+. These are in accordance with the strategies of the European development plan (e.g. improving the quality of education and the teachers' skills, creating opportunities, preventing early school leaving, transferring knowledge that provide the students with good chances after leaving school, strengthening co-operation in education, modernization).

The programmes of the chosen courses focus on the diversified outcomes like methodological renewal, IT applications, cultural awareness, knowledge of the country, the adaption of authentic materials, using realia, critical thinking, co-operation based on problem solving skills and project work.

The intended effects of the project are manifold. The colleagues' language knowledge becomes updated, they can meet the challenges of the modern language teaching more easily, and thus they can avoid teachers’ burnout. We hope that our project will be granted and as a next step we would like to join a strategic partnership project to promote internationalization, the expansion of European dimensions. Achieving this goal can support sustainability of the impacts in the long run.

Last but not least, with their personal examples the teachers also draw the students' attention to the importance of Life Long Learning, improving and refreshing our knowledge and recognising that we can become a European citizen of the 21st century.
